Christmas Catch Up

Wendy Lundy

“I’ve settled in to the Petcare Vets team and am enjoying being back in a Veterinary Practice.  My lovely lurcher Pepper is now 2.5 years old.  He loves coming to see Mairead for his three monthly health checks. What we both enjoy most of all is runs on the beach even in this wild weather.  Last month we had lots of extra hikes getting ready for the Glen of Imaal Mountain Rescue Moonlight Challenge which I thoroughly enjoyed taking part in.  This Christmas our family will spend the day with my brother and his family” – Wendy

Maria Reidy RVN

“We love Christmas in the Reidy household. Our little toddler Robyn is starting to learn about its magic and wonder. Our two cats Dexter and Brie are Christmas veterans though. They love to hide in the boxes taken down from the attic and pounce out to give us a fright. They are obsessed with the Christmas tree! Brie hides in the middle of it, so to make it safe I tie to the wall. Dexter loves to lay on the mat under the tree, he will never over exert himself. I love how all the family can get in into the Christmas spirit” – Maria

Eoin Whelan MVB

“I’m having a busy Christmas this year. I’m currently studying for a post graduate certificate in surgery which will expand the services we can offer our clients. Exams are in early February which means lots of study during the holidays. Any spare time is spent looking after the sheep, llamas, chickens and horses, they’re all extra hungry during the cold weather. Last but not least are our ten turkeys who are going to be centre stage on Christmas day for our friends and family.” – Eoin

Alex Shortt BArgSc

“After an eventful 2019, my family are looking forward to having a well deserved break over the festivities. Our Christmas starts with a morning walk up Bray Head with Gus & Pepper while the turkey is in the oven. Great to get a bit of fresh air with the dogs before the madness begins. Then it’s on to the cooking and baking for me. My favourite part of Christmas is in the evening when the board games come out served with leftovers sandwiches & cheese boards. Favourite board game: Harry Potter Cluedo!” – Alex
